El evento está abierto a jugadores de 14 a 19 años con aspiraciones reales de jugar tenis universitario en USA. La elegibilidad universitaria arranca a los 18-19 años, así que cuanto antes empieza el proceso, mejor. Si tenés dudas sobre si aplica para tu hijo, escribinos y lo vemos juntos.

The event is open to players aged 14 to 19 with genuine aspirations to play college tennis in the USA. College eligibility starts at 18-19, so the earlier the process begins, the better. If you're unsure whether it applies to your son or daughter, write to us and we'll figure it out together.

Hay dos ediciones con el mismo formato: Paysandú (21-23 de diciembre), orientada a familias del interior de Uruguay y del litoral argentino (Concepción del Uruguay, Colón, Paraná), y Montevideo (7-9 de enero) en el Carrasco Lawn Tennis Club, orientada a familias de Montevideo y el sur del país, con jugadores uruguayos, argentinos y brasileros. Si podés ir a las dos, sumás más partidos UTR y más exposición.

There are two editions with the same format: Paysandú (December 21-23), aimed at families from Uruguay's interior and the Argentine border region (Concepción del Uruguay, Colón, Paraná), and Montevideo (January 7-9) at Carrasco Lawn Tennis Club, aimed at families from Montevideo and the south of the country, with Uruguayan, Argentine, and Brazilian players. If you can attend both, you'll add more UTR matches and more exposure.

El evento incluye: entrenamiento con coaching ATP, competencia UTR filmada y transmitida por YouTube, video de recruiting profesional, outreach post-evento a 50 coaches, y comidas, snacks y bebidas los 3 días. UTR (Universal Tennis Rating) es el sistema de rating global usado por los coaches universitarios de la NCAA para evaluar jugadores de todo el mundo. Es el número que miran antes de decidir si contactar a un jugador. Más partidos UTR = más visibilidad. En el Showcase, cada jugador suma entre 6 y 8 partidos con rating UTR en 3 días, incluyendo partidos contra jugadores internacionales de Argentina y Brasil, algo casi imposible de conseguir por cuenta propia en tan poco tiempo.

UTR (Universal Tennis Rating) is the global rating system used by NCAA college coaches to evaluate players from around the world. It's the number they look at before deciding whether to contact a player. More UTR matches = more visibility. At the Showcase, every player adds 6 to 8 UTR-rated matches in 3 days, including matches against international players from Argentina and Brazil. Para el evento no es requisito tener inglés fluido. Todas las sesiones son en español. Es un factor importante para el proceso a largo plazo, y lo trabajamos como parte del plan. Los coaches valoran el nivel académico y el inglés funcional, no la perfección.

For the event, fluent English is not required. All sessions are in Spanish. It is an important factor for the long-term process, and we work on it as part of the plan. Coaches value academic level and functional English, not perfection.
